For a long time love was “the L word” for me. I barely told anyone I loved them. Not because I didn’t love them, it just didn’t feel right coming out of my mouth. It felt like the word was cutting my throat whenever it came out.

I mostly thought love was exclusive to romantic relationships. Maybe that’s why “love” felt like sludge on my tongue any time I spoke it. I knew love exists outside of the romantic context but I never knew that kind of love deeply enough to connect it with the word. My friends never told me, but it felt more like obligation for them rather than objective truth. It’s like when someone asks you how you are, you say “I’m good” because that’s what you’re supposed to say. When my parents tucked me in they said they love me because that’s what you’re supposed to say.

Now it’s easier. There’s only a few people I say it to but it’s easier. It’s nice to be able to tell people how much they mean to me.

Anyway, next up, as per we have our wayvywork of the week entitled Perseverance. (spoilers) but this is part one of a diptych, which may give you some hints as to what the theme of wayvy weekly NEXT week will be.

PERSEVERANCE

I feel like this one is pretty straightforward but nonetheless this is how I feel like the feeling of perseverance can appear to me at times. I am a massive Godzilla fan so definitely took inspiration from King Ghidorah, Godzilla’s archnemesis and then also a little from American Dragon Jake Long just because it’s a classic, yk. It’ll make a little more sense next week I think but I’ll just leave you with this: Whenever you’re not feeling to do those menial things like laundry or gyming or homework or whatever those little (or big) things you need to get done are, imagine that it’s a giant two headed fire breathing dragon and you’re the main character in the midst of a fated battle between the diametrically opposed forces of good and evil and see if that gives you a little motivation. If not, then idk you might be a lost cause try buying a t-shirt that might help. ANyway. That’s all I got for y’all today mayne. staywayvy <3.
