Now and forever.

Sorry that had nothing to do with the paintings I just had to get that off my chest ANYWAY. PART 2! On to the update.

Its been a little over two weeks since I started the paintings and you know, its going pretty well. A little over halfway through the process and resolve is holding at a high 86%, even if my body is reporting a measly 38. Honestly, if I ate more salads I would probably be fine but as of late I’ve developed a propensity for late night Doritos and ice cream. This american convenience culture may be the death of me. But at least I can lie for now and say its part of my ‘artistic process’.

Oh also, I’ve decided that the name I’m giving to this artistic wayv is ‘nextgen’.

Here are some of my highlights from this week:

VIDEO AGE. INC.

Short, sweet and to the point. The vast white space really pulls the eye in and almost forces you to read what’s on the clipping as opposed to taking it as a whole object if it were part of a larger collage. The spraypaint drippings, which have inadvertently become something of a signature in this collection, and splatter offer a perfect accent and contrast against the stark white backdrop. The ad is somehow both nostalgic and futuristic, with it saluting a past long gone but also predicting the present and perhaps times to come, with the almost ominous VIDEO AGE, INC. branded across the bottom.

WHITEWASHED

Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love this one. Again, I think you get this one without me prattling on. But if you want me to…

KING ZUMI

ZumiXumi ? Still ironing out the kinks. Regardless, I think you three will get along great.
